Hey everyone! Here you’ll find my semi-regular, humbly offered thoughts on a variety of topics. I only make two promises about this blog: that I will never talk about the same topic twice in a row and that I will probably talk about baseball most of the time.

My name is David and I live in the United States. I am currently a student at Virginia Tech and am really enjoying my time there. I am a Christian and I am not a Republican. But I don’t consider myself a Democrat, either.

I really enjoy Dave Matthews Band, R.E.M., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Mae, Radiohead, John Legend, Timbaland, and Matt Nathanson along with a lot of other music. And I think the Rolling Stones are infinitely better than the Beatles.

I like to think of myself as an analytical and logical person and am a complete extrovert. I love hanging out with people, getting to know people, and trying to make them laugh. I can’t ever remember a time when I was tired of being around people. But I also appreciate having some time to myself to read, listen to music, or just hang out.

I am a huge Virginia Tech fan. I am also a Red Sox fan. I really like USC. And I really like the Redskins. I despise anything having to do with UVA, UCLA, LSU, or the Dallas Cowboys with everything in me.

I’ve found three quotes that mean something to me of varying amounts:

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Let us so live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.” – Mark Twain

“The careful hunter waits until his prey is not expecting attack. Then he pounces like an iron jaguar.” – Pygmy Proverb

That pretty much sums it up. Read along if you please. Leave a comment if you think you’ll make the cut. Enjoy!
